Looking out across Dartmouth (to the right) from the cycle path on the MacDonald Bridge. Includes the parking area for the submarines, if you look closely.

Looking out across the commercial dockyards in Halifax. The military dockyards are pretty much directly below the bridge.

Each bridge was named (I think by the builder). I think this was "Ready Aye Aye" bridge.

Another view of the marsh. I was hoping to get a picture of the heron that was standing there, but he took off flying as I pulled up (he's the tiny brown smudge in the middle left of the picture).

Coming to the end of the decently paved trail, the gravel was getting larger.
|

This section was pretty rough and rutted, with some pretty large rocks here and there.

Heading down to the Lawrencetown section, still under construction so this dropped down to something close on singletrack at points.

Looking down the boardwalk. This apparently goes on for miles but there were crowds walking along it, so I didn't really fancy riding it.

The end of the Lawrencetown Beach trail ends at, reasonably enough, the beach.

Lawrencetown Beach. Off the spit in the distance were surfers surfing on 3-4 feet waves.

Smaller waves that people were bodysurfing off.
